  The pastor Jeff Myers, is intelligent and really knows how to talk to a crowd. But he preaches that the way men treat women and children has 'evolved' since biblical times and said that we should understand this. He even mentioned that his wife doesn't take any 'guff' from him and joked about her carrying a gun. But then he mentioned some other groups in our society and his teachings were coming dangerously close to hate speech. He said don't blame him "it's in the bible" because "he's only teaching what the bible says". Seems the standards for women and children have evolved since biblical times, but not so much for any group outside of his comfort zone.
  I thought the Bible was clear that God Loves Everyone. But that is not what Jeff is teaching his congregation, or their children. I went there to hear the word of God and to understand him better and to be closer to him. But I ended up being offended by the attacks Mr. Myers made on various groups in society. If you like this sort of thing, give it five stars. If not.... find another place to hear God's word and worship.

  My wife and I love First Baptist Conyers, they have the best nursery and childrens programs around. The staff at First Conyers is the best, we look forward every week to see what GOD can do at our church. GOD is good all the time and all the time GOD is good.

  I grew up in Rockdale. Spent my life in the area and came to know Christ at another Church. I moved just over the line into Walton back in 2000. I switched to FBC back then. I've watched three of my children come to know Christ while growing in the church. It is the warmest loving place I've ever known! I love the children's ministry and have loved all three Pastors that have been there in the time I've been here! I highly recommend this church!

  This church is amazing! Coming from the perspective of someone in the youth department it is by far the best place to meet and hang out with fellow youth. The youth pastor is great and truly cares for his students. #billyforpresident
